CHRISTIAN PULISIC signed a new contract with AC Milan that ties him to the club until 2031 following growing uncertainty over his future.
Pulisic, 26, suffered a rough start to the season after picking up a heartbreaking injury during last summer’s World Cup while on duty with the US Men’s National Team.
And with his previous deal running out in June, there was no promise the versatile forward would remain at San Siro beyond 2027.
However, the USA international positive start to the season led to fresh terms that will keep him with the Rossoneri for another five years.
Pulisic said: “There’s a lot of emotions, I’m really proud to re-sign here in Milan because I’m really just in love with this team, this club, everything about it.
“The feeling that I got, the support from the fans through all of the good and bad times, I knew immediately that this was the place for me.
“Milan has given me everything; it feels like home for me.
“It’s where I want to spend my next years because I’m just really happy here, I love it here, my family loves it here.
“I want to continue to give everything and bring this club to the top.
“I look at my whole life as a book, to be honest, and I feel like this is the most important chapter right now.”
Milan had been determined to tie Pulisic down with fresh terms since the start of the 2026/27 campaign.
The winger missed the Italian giants’ first three matches of the season but made a dynamic comeback in September that saw him amassing two goals and an assist in his first six Serie A matches.
Milan released the following statement: “AC Milan is pleased to announce that Christian Pulisic has extended his contract with the Club through June 30th, 2031.
“Since joining the Rossoneri in July 2023, Christian has established himself as a key member of the team, standing out for his technical ability, character, consistency and unwavering work ethic.
“His 44 goals in 141 appearances for the Rossoneri highlight both his importance to the team and his role in the Club’s future plans.
“Pulisic’s contract extension reflects a shared commitment to building on the progress made together in recent years, with the ambition to keep improving, achieve new milestones and write more memorable chapters in the Club’s history.”
Pulisic joined Milan in 2023 following a hapless four-year stint with Chelsea, who sold him for $24.4million.
The Hershey, Pennsylvania native’s time with the Premier League outfit was a far cry from his scintillating three-year spell with Borussia Dortmund, where he introduced himself to the global stage.
However, Pulisic managed to turn his career around at Milan, where he has since amassed a total of 44 goals and 28 assists in 142 appearances.
Ruben Amorim‘s side is currently fifth in the Serie A table with only seven points separating them from rivals Inter Milan at the top.
Milan have won five of their first nine league matches, of which they have only lost one to Bologna.
