Uganda Premier League 2026/27:

• URA 1-0 Vipers
• UPDF 0-1 Kitara

Seldom in a regular season do Vipers Sports Club suffer two successive league defeats.

The 2026/27 season is quite unique. The Venoms have now fallen three times this season, in the first round with two back-to-back defeats.

Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), under the new blood of head coach Sam Ssimbwa condemned Vipers to any loss, days after losing 1-0 to lowly Mbarara City.

On a rainy day under floodlights at the Hamz stadium, URA beat Vipers 1-0.

Skipper Moses Aliro Okabo scored the sole goal on the stroke of half time for the maximum points.

Vipers had an opportunity to level matter late in the game but second half subistute Farouk Miya was denied by the impressive goalkeeper Khassim Hafizi from 12 yards.

This was URA’s back to back victory under Ssimbwa who beat UPDF 1-0 on Tuesday.
