Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has responded to reports of a disagreement with head coach Michael Carrick.
Speculation about tension between the Portugal midfielder and his manager emerged after Fernandes openly criticised the team’s unsuccessful tactics in their match against Como. Carrick then left Manchester United’s captain on the substitutes’ bench shortly afterwards.
Fernandes addressed the rumours after reports suggested that the two men had fallen out, saying that “lies were spread in the media”.
Manchester United secured a comeback victory over Roma in the Champions League on Tuesday, winning 3-2.
