Arteta one booking from a touchline ban after Gabriel milestone

Last Updated : 26-Oct-2026 by Footymad

Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 on Saturday, with Gabriel Magalhaes marking his 200th Premier League appearance with a goal and a clean sheet for the Gunners.

Ezri Konsa scored his first Arsenal goal and Martin Odegaard starred as set-pieces proved decisive for the home side.

Mikel Arteta had a less happy afternoon. Another yellow card leaves him one booking from a ban, and he says he is collecting clips of rival managers leaving their technical areas unpunished.

"I do have to be careful. They should put sensors there," he said after the game.

"There are managers who have the record in the league, 36 times in 10 minutes eave the touchline - no yellows.

"I am clipping all of that so I have now a massive storage of images, so if somebody comes to me I can say, 'I am not in the record yet'. Somebody else has the record so let's see.

"Then it's 36 yellow cards in 10 minutes for the managers. I don't know what we are going to do - let's see."
