Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Tanner Scott and his wife, Maddie, welcomed their second child on Tuesday, October 27th.
Tanner and Maddie welcomed their newborn daughter, Blair, to join their son Bo.
Scott and his wife have been part of the Dodgers family for two years, and with two years left on his deal, he, his wife, Maddie, and their two children are set to stick around in LA for a good while longer.
Despite making a good chunk of change and having a long-term deal, Scott had a lot to prove in 2026.
He had a horrible 2025 by his own standards, with a 4.74 ERA and a -0.6 bWAR, nowhere near what was expected.
Over the two years before 2025, Scott was one of baseball’s best left-handed relievers. Then, he lost his mojo and was giving up a ton of hard contact.
In 2026, he delivered a total resurgent season, with a 1.9 bWAR and a 2.69 ERA.
“I just tried washing it away,” Scott said of his stronger 2026 start. “Literally, when January 1 happened, new year, new — just going back to what I used to do and just being yourself and trusting your ability and believing your stuff.
“(It’s) kind of going out there with a ‘F you, F it,’ like mindset, and just rolling.”
Scott’s performance still has a gear missing, given that his stuff can play up even more. 2027 and 2028 can deliver even better versions of Scott, with his daughter rooting for him.
