Former Raiders starting cornerback part of big trade cut by Eagles

Early in Raiders 2025 training camp, they made a big trade, sending starting cornerback Jakorian Bennett to Philadelphia in exchange for DT Thomas Booker IV. Today Bennett's time in Philadelphia came to an end with the Eagles cutting him.

Bennett appeared in 11 games for the Eagles last season, with a six-game stint on injured reserve in the middle of it. He had not appeared in a game this season as he has spent the entire season on injured reserve. He returned to practice in three weeks ago, but has been ruled OUT the past two weeks. If he's being waived without an injury designation, they must have just been waiting for him to be healthy again so they could cut him.

Meanwhile, Thomas Booker IV has appeared in 24 games with the Raiders. He started 13 games last season but has fallen down the depth chart this season behind Tonka Hemingway, Adam Butler, and Folorunso Fatukasi.
