AmaZulu have another key sponsor to their commercial partnership portfolio.

AmaZulu FC have strengthened their commercial portfolio after securing a new sponsorship agreement with multinational brewing company Amstel.

The Durban-based club confirmed that Amstel will feature on the sleeve of their playing kit as part of the partnership, adding another established brand to Usuthu’s commercial stable.

AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu described the agreement as an important development for the club, emphasising that the partnership goes beyond simply securing additional shirt visibility.

“Today is an important moment for the club. We’re welcoming a new partner [Amstel], but we are also reflecting on what AmaZulu Football Club stands for and where we want to go next,” Zungu said.

“The standing that Amstel and AmaZulu Football Club enjoy today has been earned over time. Both understand that respect tells gold.

“This gives us a strong foundation for a partnership that can grow with meaning rather than simply visibility. It is not just about visibility. The strongest partnerships do not ask either side to become something else.

“They build on values both already recognised. This partnership creates an opportunity to add value where it matters the most – around the team, our supporters and the wider AmaZulu community.”

The announcement represents another step in AmaZulu’s efforts to expand their commercial reach and build relationships that can contribute to the club beyond the playing field.

It also follows the club’s September 2026 announcement of a strategic youth development partnership with Spanish outfit Levante UD, highlighting their ambition to establish relationships that extend into football development.

AmaZulu now become the second Premier Soccer League club to partner with Amstel, following Orlando Pirates, who also have the brewing brand as a commercial partner.

For Usuthu, the latest agreement provides another opportunity to strengthen their brand while creating additional value for their supporters and the wider football community.
