Chelsea are exploring the possibility of bringing Manchester City midfielder Mateo Kovacic back to the club, according to insider Vlad Polivoda.

The London club are concerned that departures and injuries could leave them short of options in central midfield. Chelsea are therefore examining potential reinforcements, with 32-year-old Kovacic among the players being considered.

Kovacic previously played for Chelsea before joining Manchester City. He has made six appearances in all competitions this season and has provided one assist.

Transfermarkt experts value the Croatia midfielder at 10 million euros.
