Ezri Konsa and Declan Rice have both been nominated for the Premier League’s Player of the Month award for October - and your votes can help either win!
The duo played a key role in our climb to the top of the table, as we won all three league games, with the England internationals starring in every one.
Ezri continued his excellent start to life in N5 by helping us keep clean sheets against Nottingham Forest and Everton. In the former, he put in a solid defensive display, capped by a late last-ditch block to deny Liam Delap from equalising late on, while he scored his first Gunners goal from close range in our 2-0 win over the Toffees.
He played every league minute during October, while Declan only missed 10 minutes of action late on with the points secured against Everton. That was the only game in the three where he didn’t register an assist, and both helped us win the game.
Dec’s run started when he picked out Bruno Guimaraes to complete the comeback win against Leeds, and then found Noni Madueke who scored the only goal of the game at the City Ground. He would then start November with an inch-perfect delivery to Kai Havertz to score at Liverpool and continue his incredible form in 26/27.
Our duo are included on an eight-man shortlist for the award, which also includes Bournemouth striker Evanilson who scored four goals across the month, as did Aston Villa’s Nicolas Jackson.
Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen and Luka Vuskovic have also been recognised for keeping three clean sheets out of four, while Coventry City midfielder Jack Rudoni, who scored three times in October, and Tottenham’s Jan Paul van Hecke round off the contenders.
You can vote for Ezri and Declan now until midday on Monday, November 9.
