The Irons are four points off the automatic promotion places and have won six of their opening 13 Championship games this season.

West Ham invested heavily over the summer, breaking the Championship transfer record to sign midfielder Arne Engels from Celtic for £22million, and were among the favourites for promotion back to the Premier League.

Now, though, after a mixed start to the season, they have decided to part ways with Nuno and have landed on club legend Parker to take the reins as they look to get their promotion bid back on track.

According to TEAMtalk, Guirassy, Bellingham and Nmecha have been monitored throughout the season, although deals for the trio would be difficult due to their high valuations.

Svensson has also emerged as an option to strengthen United’s left-back position, but a move for the 24-year-old is considered more likely next summer than in January.

Man Utd eye Gibbs-White

Manchester United view Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White as a realistic transfer target.

Ekrem Konur claims that Liverpool and Tottenham are also monitoring the 26-year-old England international's situation.

United consider Gibbs-White a more achievable signing than several other attacking midfield options.

Arsenal want Baena

Arsenal are interested in signing Atletico Madrid midfielder Alex Baena, with Mikel Arteta keen on the Spaniard, El Nacional claims.

The Gunners reportedly plan to open talks soon and could offer the winger a higher salary and a prominent role. Atletico have no intention of negotiating his departure unless they receive an irrefutable offer.

Barca want Pacho

Barcelona are considering Paris Saint-Germain defender Willian Pacho as a potential January signing, El Nacional reports.

The move could depend on them selling Jules Kounde and Ronald Araujo to fund defensive reinforcements.

Chelsea identify transfer priority

Reports in Spain claim that Chelsea have made Barcelona’s Jules Kounde their top priority for the January transfer window.

Milan lead Endrick race

Ekrem Konur claims that AC Milan are among the leading candidates to sign Real Madrid forward Endrick on loan in January.

The Brazilian's decision could depend on his playing time across Madrid's final ten matches of the year.

Jose Mourinho would reportedly allow a loan exit but believes the striker’s long-term future remains at Real.

Spurs keen on Kroupi

Football Insider claims that Tottenham are still interested in Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi, but a January move is unlikely.

The Cherries have no plans to sell the 20-year-old, having demanded more than £80million for him last summer. The Frenchman scored 13 Premier League goals last season, with a potential transfer more likely at the end of the season.

Arsenal maintain contact over Endrick deal

Arsenal have reportedly kept in contact with Real Madrid over a potential January move for Endrick, with the Brazilian considering his future due to limited playing time.

Mikel Arteta’s side are exploring a loan deal that could include an option to buy.

According to TEAMtalk, Real Madrid would prefer a straightforward loan, with AC Milan and Roma also interested in signing the 20-year-old.

Endrick has started just one La Liga match this season, while his representatives are assessing opportunities for him to secure more regular football. The forward previously impressed during a loan spell at Lyon.

Unai Emery stance on Man Utd job

Unai Emery is happy at Aston Villa amid links with Manchester United.

Michael Carrick is set to remain in charge for at least another seven days, with games against Roma and Villa to come.

The likes of Eddie Howe, Antonio Conte and Julian Nagelsmann - all free agents - are also said to be of interest, but Emery is the reported ‘dream appointment’.

But journalist David Ornstein does not expect movement on that front. He told NBC Sports: “The likes of Conte, Nagelsmann, Howe, you would imagine could be appointed at pretty short notice.

“So, I don’t think you would need great negotiations in that sense.

“But with Unai Emery, who definitely has admirers at Manchester United, why wouldn’t you like him?

“He’s under contract at Aston Villa. There’s no release clause, as I understand it, and Villa have no intention of letting him go.

“They think he’s happy there and will continue.”

Man Utd turn to Ivan Toney

Manchester United are considering a January move for Al Ahli striker Ivan Toney as they look to cover for the injured Benjamin Sesko.

The England international is reportedly open to returning to the Premier League, despite being settled in Saudi Arabia.

According to CaughtOffside, United have on from on Dominic Calvert-Lewin after learning he is close to signing a new Leeds contract.

Toney is one of several options under consideration, with the club prioritising an experienced goalscorer on a short-term deal rather than a major investment.

Bournemouth chief responds to Chelsea interest in Alex Scott

Bournemouth owner Bill Foley insists the club “haven’t given up” trying to convince Chelsea target Alex Scott to sign a new contract with the Cherries, writes Dom Smith.

Bournemouth rejected a £64million bid for Scott from Chelsea in the summer and subsequent approaches from other major clubs in England but have since softened their not-for-sale stance.

But Foley and the Cherries have not lost hope that Scott might still commit his future to the south coast club.

He told TalkSport: “At this point, we're convinced we're the right place for Alex to be and to stay, and we'll keep on addressing the contract issues with Alex as we move through this year. We'd love to have Alex stay here.”

Liverpool make new contact over Lamine Camara

Liverpool are trying to beat Chelsea to a deal for Lamine Camara.

The Senegal midfielder was poised to move to Stamford Bridge for £47.1m on transfer deadline day in the summer as Xabi Alonso looked to quickly replace Enzo Fernandez, only for Monaco to unexpectedly pull the plug at the 11th hour.

Chelsea are said to remain interested in Camara, who also has admirers at Anfield.

According to The Sun, Liverpool have now made further contact with the player’s camp and asked to be kept closely informed of any developments moving forward.

Chelsea make Estevao loan decision

Xabi Alonso has insisted Estevao is not available for loan in January.

The Brazilian has been peripheral at Chelsea this season, but has been handed a surprise start as the Blues host Man United this afternoon.

It has been reported that Estevao’s frustration with his situation had led club’s to enquire about potential January transfers, but speaking on Friday, Alonso ruled that out unequivocally.

“No discussions about that,” Alonso said at his pre-match press conference. “It’s no secret that all players want to be on the pitch.

“When any of them haven’t had enough minutes because of my decision, I have to take the responsibility for that. But everyone has to be ready because in any game they could be important. Este, his training and his attitude has been good.”

Arteta issues update on Rice contract talks

Mikel Arteta believes it is only "a matter of time" until Declan Rice signs a new long-term contract at Arsenal.

The 27-year-old has entered the final two years of his current deal, which he signed when joining the club for £105million in the summer of 2023.

Talks over a new contract began earlier this year and there has always been confidence on both sides that an agreement will be reached.

It is understood that Rice is close to signing that deal, one that will earn him a significant salary increase and take him close to Bukayo Saka on £350,000-a-week as the club's best-paid player.

Official confirmation of that extension has not yet come but Arteta is in no doubt that a positive outcome will be reached.

Asked if he is expecting talks to be finalised soon, Arteta said: "Yeah.”

Man Utd reach agreement over Carrick sack decision

Manchester United have decided not to sack Michael Carrick following their defeat by Chelsea.

The Red Devils were beaten 2-0 by the Blues on another dark day at Stamford Bridge, taking their winless run to nine matches in all competitions.

Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer got the goals as Lisandro Martinez was sent off for two bookable offences in west London as further pressure piled on the under-fire United head coach.

Now, however, it appears that he will be retained in-post for the club’s next two matches, up to the November international break.
