Biotekno Körfez Basket head coach Serhan Kavut has issued a direct appeal to supporters to fill the arena ahead of their upcoming Türkiye Sigorta Basketbol Süper Ligi fixture against Trabzonspor, according to reports. The Kocaeli-based club prepares to host the Black Sea side in the sixth week of the domestic basketball calendar following a tight European victory.

European Momentum Precedes Domestic Test

Kavut’s call to action comes on the heels of a narrow 87-85 victory over Latvian club Valmiera Glass in the FIBA Europe Cup. Despite a demanding fixture list that forces the team to balance continental commitments with domestic league ambitions, the head coach emphasized the immense weight of the upcoming weekend clash. Biotekno Körfez Basket currently sits in the top tier of Turkish basketball, where every regular-season point influences the standings and playoff positioning.

The Urgency of the Trabzonspor Fixture

Reflecting on the squad’s league standing and broader competitive targets, Kavut described the weekend meeting as a pivotal fixture for the organization. “We have a critical Trabzonspor match coming up at home on Saturday,” Kavut said. “In line with our position in the league and our targets, the importance of this match is very big.” The Kocaeli side looks to rebound domestically after dropping their previous league outing 93-77 to Anadolu Efes.

Arena Atmosphere and Supporter Energy

Emphasizing the value of home-court advantage, Kavut urged local fans to turn out in force to counter Trabzonspor’s passionate backing. “We want to see our fans with us on Saturday,” Kavut said. “With their energy, we will continue our path strongly in the league.” The club hopes the vocal presence inside the venue will provide the necessary spark to secure a vital victory against the visiting bordo-mavililer squad.
