Paul Merson expects Manchester United to avoid relegation despite poor start

Paul Merson believes Manchester United will remain in the Premier League despite their disastrous start to the season.

However, the former footballer expects the “Red Devils” to drop into the relegation zone from the top flight very soon.

Michael Carrick’s side last won a league match two months ago, when they defeated Ipswich at the end of August. That result remains Manchester United’s only victory in their nine Premier League fixtures.
