Osimhen, partner welcome second child

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen and his partner, Stefanie Kim Ladewig, have welcomed their second child together, a baby girl named Liora Audrey.

Osimhen’s Turkish club, Galatasaray, announced the arrival of the newborn on Thursday through its official social media platforms, congratulating the Nigerian forward and his partner on the latest addition to their family. Blueprint reports

“Our Football A Team player Victor Osimhen and Stefanie have welcomed a baby girl into the world.

“We congratulate the couple Victor and Stefanie; we wish their newborn baby Liora Audrey a long, healthy, and happy life,” the club said.

The announcement has drawn congratulatory messages from football supporters and well-wishers, with many celebrating the happy development in the life of one of Nigeria’s most recognisable football stars.

The birth marks the couple’s second child together. They are already parents to a daughter, Hailey, who was born in October 2022.

Family milestone for Super Eagles striker

Although Osimhen is widely celebrated for his achievements on the football pitch, he has maintained a relatively private family life, with occasional public appearances and photographs offering glimpses into his relationship with Ladewig and their first daughter.

Ladewig, who has been identified in media reports as a Cameroonian-German model and social media personality, has been associated with the striker since his time in Germany, when he played for Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg.

The couple have largely kept details of their relationship away from the public spotlight, making the announcement of their second child’s arrival another rare moment of public attention on their family.

The latest development comes after reports earlier in October that Ladewig was involved in a road accident in Istanbul while pregnant. Reports from Türkiye said she escaped without injuries and was taken to hospital for precautionary medical checks before being discharged.

The safe arrival of their daughter has therefore attracted additional attention from supporters who had followed the earlier reports concerning her wellbeing.

Osimhen’s growing profile at Galatasaray

The family celebration comes as Osimhen continues his career with Galatasaray, where he has established himself as a major figure since making his move to the Turkish champions permanent.

The 27-year-old Nigerian forward initially joined the Istanbul club on loan from Napoli in September 2024 before completing a permanent transfer in 2025.

His performances in Turkey have further strengthened his reputation as one of Africa’s leading attacking players, following an impressive spell in European football that included his time at Napoli.

Osimhen played a central role in Napoli’s 2022/2023 Serie A title-winning campaign, finishing as the league’s leading scorer with 26 goals. His contribution helped the Italian club win its first league title in 33 years.

He also became the first African player to win the Serie A Golden Boot, further cementing his place in the history of Nigerian and African football.

At international level, Osimhen remains an important member of the Super Eagles, having represented Nigeria at major competitions, including the Africa Cup of Nations. He was part of the team that finished runners-up at the 2023 tournament in Côte d’Ivoire.

His goalscoring ability, physical presence and work rate have made him a key attacking option for both club and country.

Congratulations pour in

The announcement of Liora Audrey’s birth has added another joyful chapter to the striker’s personal life, with fans joining Galatasaray in celebrating the arrival.

For Osimhen, the development represents a special family milestone as he continues to balance the demands of professional football with life away from the pitch.

The Nigerian international and Ladewig are now parents to two daughters, Hailey and the newborn Liora Audrey.

Congratulations have continued to pour in for the family, with supporters wishing the baby good health and the couple happiness as they welcome their newest addition.
