According to a report by Flashscore on Saturday October 24, 2026, Chelsea struggled to make their attacking opportunities count as they went into half-time level at 0-0 against Tottenham in their Premier League encounter.
The Blues created several promising openings but were repeatedly denied by goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky and Tottenham's defensive organisation. Morgan Rogers missed a clear opportunity inside the penalty area, while Pedro Neto and Cole Palmer also failed to find the breakthrough.
1. Morgan Rogers
Rogers missed one of Chelsea's clearest opportunities in the 33rd minute. He collected a short pass deep inside the penalty area and appeared well placed to threaten Tottenham's goal. However, he took too long to release his shot, allowing a defender to recover and block the attempt. His hesitation cost Chelsea a promising scoring opportunity. Rogers also found himself in an offside position in the 37th minute, further disrupting his attacking contribution.
2. Pedro Neto
Neto experienced a frustrating first half despite getting into dangerous positions. In the 11th minute, he ran onto a precise through ball from Palmer, but a Tottenham defender intervened with an important block before he could move into a one-on-one situation. Neto later found space behind the defence, only for the move to be stopped for offside. His biggest opportunity arrived in the 44th minute when he received the ball from Hato's short free kick and fired towards the bottom-left corner. However, Kinsky produced a good save to deny him.
3. Cole Palmer
Palmer struggled to provide the decisive finish Chelsea needed, although he showed glimpses of creativity. In the sixth minute, he delivered a well-placed ball into the penalty area for Geovany Quenda, but his teammate could not reach it. Palmer also attempted a shot from mid-range in the 14th minute, aiming towards the top-left corner. Kinsky was well positioned and made a comfortable save. Despite creating opportunities, Palmer could not produce a goal or assist before the interval.
4. Jordan Henderson
Henderson had mixed moments during the opening half but failed to make his attacking contributions count. In the 15th minute, he delivered a powerful corner into the penalty area, but Tottenham's defence intercepted the cross. He also sent a dangerous delivery into the box in the 41st minute, only for the opposition to clear the danger. His best opportunity came in the 36th minute when he connected with a defence-splitting pass and struck towards the bottom-right corner, but Kinsky comfortably saved his effort.
