According to a post on X on Friday, October 23, coach Antonio Conte has released a statement after social media posts linked him to clubs.

"There are currently no negotiations at an advanced stage, even though my name has been linked with numerous clubs.

After a wonderful and successful spell in charge of Napoli, I will take the time I need to contemplate when and how to return to management. The decision will be considered carefully, one I will make when I trust the conditions are right.

I have read reports of financial demands and requests for complete control that I have supposedly made to the clubs mentioned, and also reservations about what has been demonstrated as my "strong personality".

These reports are unfounded because there is currently no concrete basis for such assessments.

Should a concrete opportunity arise, that will be the time to discuss with the club concerned and consider the terms of a potential agreement, with due regard for both parties' needs and the qualities and approach that define my work as a manager.

Until then, any assumptions concerning my demands and my professional future remain a rumour and cannot be treated as a fact."
