WSL Table After Arsenal 1:1, Manchester City Won 2:1 And Chelsea Won 6:0

According to a report by BBC Sport on Monday, November 2, 2026, Chelsea have maintained their position at the top of the Women’s Super League table following an emphatic 6-0 victory over Charlton Athletic on Sunday.

Manchester City also strengthened their title challenge with a 2-1 away win against London City Lionesses, while Arsenal dropped valuable points after being held to a 1-1 draw by Aston Villa.

Chelsea delivered a dominant performance against Charlton, scoring four goals within the opening 19 minutes to establish complete control of the encounter. The Blues added two more goals in the second half to seal an impressive 6-0 victory.

The result takes Chelsea to 22 points from eight matches, extending their unbeaten run in the league and keeping them ahead of their closest challengers.

Manchester City also collected three important points after overcoming London City Lionesses in a closely contested encounter.

Khadija Shaw opened the scoring for City before Jana Fernandez brought the hosts back into the game. However, Lauren Hemp found the winning goal to ensure that Manchester City left with all three points.

The victory moved City to 22 points, level with Chelsea, but they remain second because of their inferior goal difference. Chelsea currently have a +23 goal difference, compared to City’s +12.

Meanwhile, Arsenal missed an opportunity to improve their position after settling for a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa.

Chasity Grant gave Villa the lead, but Alessia Russo rescued a point for the Gunners with an 85th-minute equaliser.

Elsewhere, Tottenham Hotspur moved further into contention for a top-four finish with a convincing 4-1 victory over Birmingham City. Brighton secured a 2-1 win against Crystal Palace, while West Ham United produced an impressive performance to defeat Liverpool 4-1.

Following Sunday’s results, Chelsea remain first with 22 points, while Manchester City occupy second place with the same number of points.

Manchester United sit fifth with 12 points, while Arsenal are seventh with 10 points after their disappointing result against Aston Villa.

At the bottom of the standings, Charlton Athletic occupy 14th position without a point from their opening eight league matches.

With the season still having several matches to go, Chelsea and Manchester City are emerging as the leading contenders for the WSL title, while Arsenal will need to improve their consistency to close the gap on the top two.
