According to a report by London Evening Standard on Friday October 30, 2026, Liverpool will host Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, while holders Manchester City have been handed a favourable home encounter against League One side Bradford City.
The draw also confirmed another home fixture for Fleetwood Town following their remarkable penalty shootout victory over Premier League champions Arsenal.
Both Liverpool and Manchester City needed penalties to progress through Wednesday’s fourth-round fixtures. Liverpool eliminated Chelsea, while City overcame Brighton to secure their places in the last eight. Both clubs will now enjoy home advantage in the quarter-finals.
Liverpool welcome Bournemouth to Anfield, with manager Andoni Iraola preparing to face his former club again. The Spanish tactician previously guided Bournemouth to a 1-0 Premier League victory over the Reds at the Vitality Stadium last month. His team have been impressive this season and will provide a difficult challenge for Arne Slot’s side.
Manchester City, meanwhile, will entertain Bradford City at the Etihad Stadium. The League One outfit have reached the Carabao Cup quarter-finals for the first time since their memorable run to the 2013 final. However, they face a difficult assignment against Pep Guardiola’s team before Christmas.
Fleetwood Town have also secured another home fixture after producing one of the competition’s biggest surprises by eliminating Arsenal on penalties. Their reward is a quarter-final meeting with Everton, who comfortably defeated Newcastle United 3-1 without the injured Jack Grealish.
Crystal Palace have been drawn against Sunderland, with the Eagles enjoying home advantage. Sunderland booked their place in the last eight after defeating Brentford 3-2 at the Stadium of Light.
The four quarter-final fixtures are scheduled to take place during the week commencing December 14.
The complete Carabao Cup quarter-final draw is as follows: Fleetwood Town vs Everton, Manchester City vs Bradford City, Crystal Palace vs Sunderland and Liverpool vs Bournemouth.
