According to a report by BBC Sport on Friday, October 30, 2026, Galatasaray strengthened their position at the top of the Turkish Super Lig table after securing a convincing 4-0 victory over Konyaspor in their Friday league meeting.

The visitors started the game with confidence and took the lead in the 12th minute through Victor Osimhen, who finished off a move created by Gabriel Sara to put his side ahead. Galatasaray continued to put pressure on their opponents and were rewarded again in the 28th minute when Yunus Akgün found the back of the net, with Aleksey Batrakov providing the assist.

Konyaspor struggled to find a way back into the game, while Galatasaray remained comfortable with their two-goal advantage heading into the half-time break. The home side made two changes at the beginning of the second half in an attempt to improve their performance, but the visitors continued to control proceedings.

Galatasaray extended their lead just four minutes after the restart when Batrakov scored in the 49th minute following an assist from Sara, making it 3-0 and leaving Konyaspor with a difficult task to get anything from the encounter.

The visitors were not done yet as Rafael Leão converted a penalty in the 55th minute to complete the scoring and give his team a comfortable four-goal advantage. With the result already looking settled, Galatasaray made several substitutions in the 61st minute, bringing on fresh players as they managed the remaining minutes without allowing Konyaspor to find a response.

The victory means Galatasaray remain top of the Turkish Super Lig table with 27 points, five points ahead of second-placed Amed Sportif, while Konyaspor's heavy defeat leaves them in 15th position with eight points after another disappointing league outing.
