Chelsea winger Jamie Gittens is attracting interest from AS Roma ahead of the January transfer window as Gian Piero Gasperini looks to strengthen his attacking options.
According to a report by Football London on Friday, 6 November 2026, the Italian club are monitoring the England youngster after previously considering a move for him during the summer.
Roma want to add an attacking winger to their squad, with a midfielder also potentially being targeted to improve their depth.
Gasperini's side have struggled to maintain their intensity throughout matches, with injuries and limited options from the bench contributing to their problems.
Eight of the 10 goals Roma have conceded in Serie A this season have come after half-time. They have also suffered four comebacks in 14 matches across all competitions, including defeats against Inter, Real Madrid and Manchester United after taking two-goal leads.
Sporting director Tony D'Amico is expected to address those weaknesses in January, with Gittens among the leading candidates.
The Chelsea winger is viewed as a player who could provide additional pace and directness in attack, giving Gasperini another option when his first-choice players begin to tire.
Roma are also considering Real Madrid forward Endrick, Stuttgart's Jamie Leweling and Frosinone's Giorgi Kvernadze as alternative attacking options.
The Italian club are expected to favour a loan arrangement, similar to the deal that brought Donyell Malen to the capital, rather than committing to an expensive permanent transfer.
Gittens' situation at Chelsea could therefore attract further attention as Roma assess their options ahead of the winter window.
The club's recruitment priority is to find players capable of fitting Gasperini's demanding system and helping Roma remain competitive across domestic and European competitions.
