EPL Table After Friday Match

According to a report by BBC Sport on Friday, October 23, 2026, Ipswich Town and Nottingham Forest shared the points after playing out a 1-1 draw in their Premier League encounter at Portman Road.

Nottingham Forest made a bright start and took the lead in the 13th minute through Neco Williams, who finished well after receiving a cross from Daniel Muñoz. The goal gave the visitors an early advantage, and they looked comfortable as they tried to build on their lead and put pressure on the home side.

Ipswich, however, refused to give up and continued to search for an equaliser as the first half progressed. Their efforts paid off in the 41st minute when Julio Enciso found the back of the net with a left-footed effort from outside the box, taking advantage of a defensive mistake by Forest defender Nikola Milenković to bring the home side back into the game.

Both teams went into the break level, but Forest had a chance to regain the lead before half-time when Morgan Gibbs-White's effort was cleared off the goal line. Ipswich also created opportunities, with Jaden Philogene-Bidace forcing a save from goalkeeper Matz Sels during an entertaining spell in the first half.

The second half produced plenty of effort but no further goals, as both sides struggled to find the finishing touch in the final third. Forest threatened through Murillo, James McAtee and Callum Hudson-Odoi, while Ipswich worked hard to keep their opponents away from a winning goal.

Despite eight minutes of added time, neither team could find a breakthrough, and the referee brought the contest to an end after a long evening at Portman Road.

With the draw, Ipswich Town climbed to ninth position on the Premier League table with 10 points, while Nottingham Forest moved out of the relegation zone to sit in 16th place with six points.
