Back
Real Madrid have confirmed they will be bringing Jacobo Ramon back to the club in 2027, leaving Manchester United and Chelsea frustrated.
According to a report by FootballTransfers on 29 October 2026, the Spaniards will trigger the buy-back clause for the 21-year-old, having enjoyed a great rise in Italy.
Ramon was signed from Real Madrid Castilla for €2.5 million in 2025 but his deal included a buy-back clause which allows Real Madrid to sign him back for under €9 million next summer.
Ramon has caught the eye of many clubs in Europe after impressing in Italy. Both Manchester United and Chelsea are keeping a close eye on him as he has become an important figure in Cesc Fabregas’ team.
He also impressed during the 4-1 win over Manchester United last week.
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is overseeing a complete rebuild and is looking at Ramon as a potential long-term replacement for Antonio Rudiger, whose contract runs out at the end of the season.
However, Real Madrid may decide they want to sell him after his return. He has been playing brilliantly and could be seen as a good asset.
They benefited in the past with Nico Paz, who came back into the limelight with his performances for Como, before Madrid made a large amount of money on his transfer.
With Real Madrid having the buy-back clause, it could prove tough for Chelsea and Manchester United to get hold of him without paying a much larger price. It depends on what Real Madrid plan to do with the youngster.
