According to a report by Daily Post on Thursday, November 5, 2026, Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare was in sensational form as he scored twice and supplied an assist to inspire Ajax to a commanding 6-1 win over FC Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
The 25-year-old was one of the standout performers on the night, playing a direct part in three goals as the Dutch giants produced an impressive attacking performance against their Danish visitors.
Arokodare gave Ajax the perfect start by opening the scoring in the ninth minute. The striker received a well-timed pass from Oscar Gloukh before finishing confidently to hand his side an early lead.
Midtjylland responded in the 28th minute, with Nigerian midfielder Friday Utim scoring the equaliser to bring the Danish side back into the game.
Neither team managed to find another goal before halftime, but Ajax returned from the interval with renewed determination, and Arokodare soon restored their advantage.
Seven minutes after the restart, the Nigerian striker scored his second goal of the match, completing his brace and putting Ajax ahead once again.
Arokodare remained a constant threat to the Midtjylland defence and added an assist to his impressive performance in the 59th minute.
The forward created the opportunity for Owen Wijndal, who finished brilliantly to score Ajax's third goal and increase the pressure on their opponents.
Ajax's comfortable advantage allowed the coaching staff to withdraw Arokodare in the 70th minute, with Marcos Leonardo replacing the Nigerian striker.
Despite his substitution, Ajax maintained their attacking momentum, finding the net further in the match to complete an impressive 6-1 triumph over Midtjylland, who had been reduced to 10 players.
The performance further highlights Arokodare's growing influence at Ajax this season. The former Genk forward has now accumulated 12 goals and three assists in 16 appearances in all competitions, underlining his importance to the Dutch club.
