According to a report by GOAL on Friday October 30, 2026, former Al-Hilal goalkeeper Mohamed Al-Deayea has played down Cristiano Ronaldo's latest hat-trick for Al-Nassr, arguing that the Portuguese forward benefits from the quality of service provided by his teammates.
Ronaldo scored three times in the second half as Al-Nassr defeated Al-Kholood 5-3 in their Saudi Pro League encounter at Al-Awwal Park on Thursday.
The 41-year-old found the net in the 66th, 72nd and 81st minutes to complete his treble, while fellow Portugal international Joao Felix played a key role by providing four assists.
Despite Ronaldo's impressive goalscoring display, Al-Deayea believes Felix deserves greater recognition for his influence on the team's performance.
Speaking on television programme Dawrina Ghair, the former Saudi Arabia international described Felix as the driving force behind Al-Nassr's attacking play.
"He is the heart and soul of the team - with all due respect to Cristiano Ronaldo, who scores easy goals thanks to the service provided by the wingers," he said.
Al-Deayea also suggested that Ronaldo could have scored five goals against Al-Kholood, but two of his efforts were ruled out for offside.
The former goalkeeper acknowledged that Al-Nassr deserved their victory, explaining that Al-Kholood struggled after adopting a defensive approach in the second half.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo's latest treble took his career goals tally to 985, leaving him just 15 strikes away from reaching the remarkable milestone of 1,000 goals.
