According to recent report from Daily Post Nigeria on 2nd November, 2026, Venezuela's U-17 Women's national team head coach Dayana Frias reflects on their loss to the Flamingos of Nigeria during her post match interview session last night.
While speaking extensively in the interview session, Danaya recounted that the Flamingos of Nigeria showed they are very zealous to win the FIFA Women's Under-17 World Cup this time by fighting to defeat them and advancing further to almost the final stage of the competition. She noted that their zeal is now clear and there is no doubt about it.
However, Nigeria's U-17 Women's national team, the Flamingos, defeated Venezuela 1–0 to book their place in the semifinals of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.
The victory marks Nigeria's return to the last four for the first time since 2022, when the Flamingos made history by finishing third in the competition.
Dayana who has guided the Venezuela's Women's U-17 team known as La Vinotinto past through the group stage and into the quarterfinals by securing a 1–0 win over Germany, before narrowly falling 1–0 to Nigeria's Flamingos, believes the team's zeal to possibly win the trophy is clear.
