According to a report by Football London on Thursday, October 22, 2026, Arsenal have reportedly made initial enquiries about Eintracht Frankfurt attacking midfielder Can Uzun and Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi as sporting director Andrea Berta explores options to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s attacking department.
The Gunners reshaped their left-wing options during the summer, selling Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard for a combined £77 million before signing Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge for £34 million.
Although Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze can operate on the left flank, both are believed to be more effective in other positions. This has reportedly encouraged Arteta to consider bringing in another attacker who could provide competition for Tzolis and offer additional depth.
After unsuccessful attempts to sign Morgan Rogers and Vinícius Júnior, Arsenal are now expected to explore alternative targets ahead of the January and summer transfer windows.
According to CaughtOffside, Uzun has attracted Arsenal’s attention following an impressive start to the season with Frankfurt. The 20-year-old has registered four goals and three assists in six appearances, performances that have reportedly caught the eye of several clubs.
Arsenal are understood to be among the sides considering a move for the Turkish international next summer. The North London club have also reportedly held preliminary discussions with representatives of the player through agency 11WINS, which also represents Tresoldi.
However, the Gunners face competition for Uzun’s signature, with Aston Villa, Everton, Brighton, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund also linked with the midfielder.
Frankfurt were reportedly willing to consider offers of approximately £34 million during the summer. His strong performances have since increased his valuation, with the Bundesliga club now believed to be demanding around €60 million, equivalent to £50 million. That figure is also reportedly reflected in his release clause.
An unnamed source said: “Arsenal have had some initial contacts about Can Uzun. I can’t say for sure if he’s at the top of their list, but they like him and they’re not alone in that.”
Meanwhile, Tresoldi has also emerged as a potential Arsenal target after producing impressive numbers for Club Brugge, scoring nine goals in 13 matches this season.
The Germany Under-21 international reportedly turned down a £30 million offer from Roma, while his current valuation is believed to be around £42 million. Club Brugge are understood to be reluctant to part with the striker during the January transfer window.
Nevertheless, Arsenal could revisit the possibility of signing him next summer if their interest develops and they are prepared to meet the Belgian club’s demands.
A transfer worth £42 million would reportedly establish a new record for the biggest departure in Belgian club football, surpassing Tzolis’ £34 million move to Arsenal.
Signing both Uzun and Tresoldi would cost the Gunners approximately £92 million, highlighting the scale of the potential investment as the club considers further reinforcements for its attacking options.
