According to a report by Barca Universal on Thursday October 22, 2026, Barcelona players, including Pedri, Xavi Espart and Marc Bernal, have expressed their determination to defeat Real Madrid on Sunday after suffering their first defeat of the season against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Catalan side will aim to bounce back at Camp Nou, with victory in the highly anticipated El Clasico offering an opportunity to restore confidence and strengthen their position in the LaLiga title race.

Barcelona’s 12-match winning streak ended in Paris, but the squad has quickly shifted its attention towards the encounter with their biggest rivals. Several players took to social media to express their determination to respond positively and encourage their teammates ahead of the crucial fixture.

Xavi Espart was among those who delivered an impressive performance against PSG. The Barcelona academy graduate made his Champions League debut and kept Khvicha Kvaratskhelia relatively quiet. He also found the net with his first goal in the competition. After overcoming an injury scare, the youngster is available for Sunday’s encounter.

Espart shared a photograph of himself kissing the Barcelona badge alongside a message expressing his excitement about the upcoming match. “Let’s go all out in the Clasico, always together!! Força Barça,” he wrote.

Pedri also expressed his determination to return to winning ways following a difficult evening against PSG’s midfield. The Spanish midfielder described the upcoming encounter as a major challenge and a powerful source of motivation. He also insisted that Barcelona possess the confidence and quality required to compete against their opponents.

Marc Bernal, who started against PSG and occasionally deputises for Rodri, also shared an encouraging message ahead of the Clasico. The young midfielder simply declared, “Always together,” highlighting the importance of unity within the squad.

Barcelona’s defeat in Paris could ultimately strengthen their determination to respond against Real Madrid. Winning on Sunday would restore momentum and send an important message to their title rivals early in the LaLiga campaign.
