Vini Jr To Arsenal: Jose Mourinho Drops Transfer Hint

Jose Mourinho has indicated that Real Madrid have no intention of selling Vinicius Junior despite growing interest from Arsenal ahead of the 2027 summer transfer window.

According to a report by FootballTransfers on Monday, 2 November 2026, Mourinho has made clear that he wants the Brazil international to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu, potentially complicating Arsenal's hopes of signing the forward.

Vinicius, 26, was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium during the summer transfer window. However, he rejected the opportunity to join Mikel Arteta's side and instead committed his future to Real Madrid by signing a lucrative new contract.

Arsenal remain interested in strengthening their attacking options, with Vinicius identified as one of their leading targets for 2027.

Juventus youngster Kenan Yildiz is also reportedly on their radar as the Premier League leaders consider further investment in their forward line.

Mourinho's latest comments suggest that Real Madrid are reluctant to entertain an offer for the Brazilian, despite his inconsistent performances this season.

"I can’t wait for Vini Jr to be back from the sanction because I love him, I need him," Mourinho told reporters ahead of Real Madrid's 3-0 victory over Racing Santander on Sunday.

The Portuguese manager's comments come amid growing attention on Yan Diomande, who has impressed while deputising for Vinicius during his suspension.

The Ivorian winger scored his fourth goal in six matches during the victory, strengthening his case for regular involvement in the team.

His impressive performances have fuelled speculation that Real Madrid could consider allowing Vinicius to leave next year, although Mourinho's public backing indicates that the Brazilian remains an important part of his plans.

However, Diomande's emergence could create greater competition for a starting position when Vinicius returns.

Any potential move to Arsenal would also involve significant financial demands. FootballTransfers reports that the Gunners could need to make Vinicius the most expensive Premier League signing in history, surpassing the €145 million fees paid for Alexander Isak and Enzo Fernandez.

For now, Mourinho's position represents a potential obstacle to Arsenal's ambitions, with Vinicius' future likely to depend on his performances and standing at Real Madrid.
