According to a report by Metro on Thursday October 22, 2026, Harry Kane has named Paris Saint-Germain as his favourites to win the UEFA Champions League after Bayern Munich played out an entertaining 2-2 draw against Arsenal on Wednesday night.
The Bayern Munich striker believes PSG remain the team to beat in Europe following their impressive 4-2 victory over Barcelona, further strengthening their status among the leading contenders for this season's competition.
PSG produced an impressive performance against Barcelona on Tuesday, ending their opponents' unbeaten start to the campaign. The result underlined the quality of Luis Enrique's side and reinforced Kane's belief that the French giants are capable of challenging for another European crown.
Speaking to Canal+, Kane acknowledged the strength of several leading European clubs but singled out PSG as the favourites.
“Paris, of course, winning back-to-back Champions Leagues, they're going to be favourites for it,” Kane said.
The England international also named Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Barcelona and Real Madrid among the teams capable of mounting a serious challenge for the trophy.
However, Kane was quick to point out that the season remains in its early stages, with the decisive battles expected to take place in April and May.
His comments came after Bayern were held to a 2-2 draw by Arsenal at the Allianz Arena. Eberechi Eze gave the Gunners the lead before Alphonso Davies equalised for the German champions.
Kane subsequently converted a penalty to put Bayern ahead, but Declan Rice scored in the 82nd minute to earn Arsenal a valuable point away from home.
Despite dropping points, Bayern demonstrated their attacking quality against one of the Premier League's strongest sides. Nevertheless, Kane admitted that Arsenal's tactical movement caused problems for his teammates, particularly when attempting to organise their pressing.
“I think Arsenal are quite tricky, to be honest, in how they moved,” the striker explained.
Kane added that Bayern became confused about their pressing assignments and struggled to escape their defensive shape during the closing stages of the match.
The striker also acknowledged that his team needed to become more clinical when opportunities arose to secure victories against difficult opponents.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will take encouragement from their ability to recover after falling behind, with Rice's late equaliser demonstrating their resilience and determination.
The draw leaves both teams with work to do as they continue their Champions League campaigns, while PSG have strengthened their position among the leading contenders following their victory over Barcelona.
Although Kane considers the Parisian club the favourites, he recognises that Bayern, Arsenal, Barcelona and Real Madrid possess the quality to challenge for the biggest prize in European football.
