Ligue 1 Table After PSG Won 2-0

According to a report by BBC Sport on Monday, October 26, 2026, Paris Saint-Germain reclaimed first place in Ligue 1 with a 2-0 home win over Lyon at Parc des Princes.

In the match, Luis Enrique's squad aimed to regain control of the title race by claiming all three points. However, they faced stiff defense from Lyon and had to work hard to break through.

From the start, PSG had the better of the possession and the chances, but they couldn't convert their dominance into a goal before halftime. The home team stayed disciplined and denied Lyon any chance to take the lead, despite Lyon's best efforts.

After the break, the home team kept up the pressure on Lyon, with players like Desire Doue and Ferran Torres attempting to break through the Lyon defense. But Lyon kept themselves in the game thanks to crucial stops by goalkeeper Dominik Greif.

In the 72nd minute, PSG finally broke the deadlock. Senny Mayulu, after a frustrating spell in front of goal, received a pass from Mika Godts and scored a right-footed effort from outside the box. The home supporters finally had something to celebrate.

The home team gained confidence after scoring and kept pressing forward in pursuit of a second goal to seal the deal. Godts scored in the 84th minute off a right-footed shot from outside the box, assisted by Quentin Ndjantou, proving that their efforts were worthwhile.

As time ran out, PSG maintained possession and held onto their lead, making it difficult for Lyon to mount a comeback.

After losing to Rennes in the previous round, Luis Enrique's squad regained first place in Ligue 1 with this win, while Lyon maintained their position in fifth place with 14 points.
