Jean-Philippe Krasso’s role at Paris FC has changed sharply since he helped the club secure promotion to Ligue 1, with his involvement now restricted to a marginal role.
The 29-year-old striker was one of the driving forces behind the club’s successful promotion campaign. However, his contribution in the following league season fell to two goals and two assists.
His situation has deteriorated further at the start of the 2026/27 campaign. Krasso has been left on the substitutes’ bench, apart from a five-minute appearance against Lorient on 10 October.
Former Cote d'Ivoire international Arouna Kone discussed Krasso’s difficulties with 225foot, focusing on the challenge of maintaining a high level when a player is regularly excluded from the team.
Kone highlighted the impact that a prolonged period away from competitive action can have on a footballer. For Krasso, the lack of regular minutes has become a central issue as he attempts to regain his place at Paris FC.
The question of whether Krasso’s style is suited to the demands of Ligue 1 remains an important part of the discussion surrounding his decline.
His individual technical ability alone is not enough to secure a place in the side. To earn the confidence of the coaching staff, that quality must be matched by consistent performances and a reliable output.
Krasso has now reached an important point in his time with Paris FC. The striker has two principal options: remain in the capital and try to change the staff’s view of him, or seek a move elsewhere in order to rebuild his playing time.
Whichever route he takes, the priority is to re-establish the regularity that has been missing from his recent involvement on the pitch.
Paris FC are due to play their 10th-day Ligue 1 match against Auxerre shortly. The listed odds for the game are 1.87 for a Paris FC victory, 4.04 for a draw and 4.40 for an Auxerre win.
