Challenging November ahead

October drew to a close with the big 6-1 victory for FC Barcelona against Alavés at the Spotify Camp Nou, and the tough assignments continue now we're into November, with three LaLiga and two UEFA Champions League matches, punctuated by an international break.

Emery and Aston Villa on November 3

There is no time to relax, as Aston Villa visit to fulfil the league phase matchday four fixture of the Champions League in just two days (kick-off 9.00pm CET, November 3). Hansi Flick and the team will be looking to get back to winning ways in Europe after losing to holders París Saint-Germain last time out. The in-form English side are coached by an old acquaintance in Unai Emery and have won all three games in Europe's premier club competition so far.

League lead on the line at the Metropolitano stadium

A tough match follows, as Barça travel to play Atlético Madrid, who sit in second place in LaLiga. The matchday 12 fixture is set to take place on November 8 at the Metropolitano stadium (kick-off 9.00pm CET). The mattress-makers are in great form too, having won their last seven matches.

Villarreal after the international break

The final international break of 2026 will follow the match in Madrid, meaning Barça won't be back in action until November 22, when they are set to host Villarreal (kick-off 2.00pm CET). The yellow submarine may not be in the best of form, with 12 points from the first 11 matchdays, but there is a lot of quality in their squad and they can give Hansi Flick's side a tough test.

A long trip

The Champions League returns on November 25 and it involves a long trip, as the blaugranes are set to travel to the Azerbaijan capital Bakú to take on Sabah. Their opponents are making their debut in the competition after only being founded in 2017 and got their first win in matchday two against Slavia Prague (2-0).

Final fixture at the Riazor stadium

The month of matches is set to end on the weekend of 28/29 November, when the blaugranes will play Deportivo de A Coruña at the Riazor stadium. The date and kick-off time for Barça's return to this legendary stadium are still to be confirmed and it will be their first visit since 19 April 2018 when the Galician side were ultimately relegated at the end of the season.
