Kimi Antonelli sealed his maiden World Championship title in Mexico City at the age of just 20, making history in only his second season in the sport.
The Mercedes man had been in control of the title race since Round 3 in Japan, with a run of five straight victories early in the season the backbone of his championship charge.
A third-place finish at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez gave him enough points to win the title with four races to go – and the celebrations were unsurprisingly emotional. From tears on his in-lap to a famous podium photo with two of the greats of the sport, Antonelli celebrated in style with his team, his family and his fans.
