Harry Kane Crowned 2026 Ballon d’Or Winner
England captain and Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has been crowned the winner of the 2026 Men’s Ballon d’Or, football’s prestigious individual award.
Kane received the honour at the 70th edition of the awards ceremony held at the London Palladium on Monday, October 26, following an outstanding season for club and country.
The prolific striker scored 73 goals across 65 appearances for Bayern Munich and England during the 2025–26 campaign, helping Bayern secure domestic honours.
His triumph ends England’s 25-year wait for a male Ballon d’Or winner, with former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker Michael Owen the last Englishman to claim the award in 2001.
Kane finished ahead of French forward Kylian Mbappé and Spanish sensation Lamine Yamal in the final rankings.
The victory marks a major milestone in Kane’s career and further cements his standing among the leading strikers in world football.
