Hull fans were taunted by Ipswich’s away supporters with a reworked version of their ‘You’re getting mauled by The Tigers’ chant.

Hull’s opening fixture on their return to the Premier League was an unexpected 2-0 triumph over Manchester United, with the chant, and its accompanying clawing hand gestures, in the direction of the United fans going viral online.

A seven-game spell without a win has left Tigers fans with little chance to reproduce it, but when Florentino Luis opened the scoring for Ipswich at the MKM Stadium after 22 minutes on Saturday, the Tractors Boys’ travelling faithful did not miss an obvious opportunity.

As Luis celebrated, the away end broke into a chorus of ‘You’re being ploughed by the Tractors’, again with appropriate accompanying gestures.

Hull were saved from a further refrain after 37 minutes when what appeared to be a Julio Enciso goal was immediately disallowed for a tackle on Oli McBurnie in the build-up.
