English striker Harry Kane has been crowned the winner of the 70th edition of the Ballon d’Or following a record-breaking 2025/2026 season.
Kane clinched the prestigious trophy ahead of other top contenders, including Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal, after an outstanding campaign in which he scored 73 goals and provided 8 assists in 65 appearances for club and country.
The achievement makes Kane the fifth English player to win the Ballon d’Or, following Sir Stanley Matthews in 1956 (Blackpool), Sir Bobby Charlton in 1966 (Manchester United), Kevin Keegan in 1978 and 1979 (Hamburg), and Michael Owen in 2001 (Liverpool).
