The NFL fined 49ers linebacker Fred Warner $65,673.
Warner was pegged for two unnecessary roughness violations during San Francisco’s win over the Commanders last week. Warner was fined $47,762 for a hit on Commanders tight end Chig Okonkwo, where officials threw a flag on the play, but then picked it up.

Warner faces a one-game suspension if he disciplined for two more hits on defenseless players. The 49ers star has also been fined for a hip-drop tackle, which also leads to a potential suspension if he racks up a total of three.
In Week 3, Warner was fined $41,793 for two violations against Cardinals tight end Trey McBride, one penalty being illegal use of the helmet and the other being a hip-drop tackle that went uncalled.
The 49ers nearly blew a 20-point lead against the Commanders on Monday Night Football, but the squad held on for a nail-biting 23-17 win. San Francisco remains unscathed through six weeks of the NFL season, but injuries have already become an issue for the 49ers.
The 49ers will be without their top two wide receivers as Mike Evans and Deebo Samuel are both sidelined. The 6-0 team simply can’t afford to lose other stars like Warner because of a suspension.
While the 49ers are undefeated, the NFC West is a loaded division and every loss decreases San Francisco’s chances of making a deep playoff run.
