Jamie Carragher has singled out Brighton for their pressing performance in a 1-0 win over Manchester City in the ninth round of the English Premier League.

The Seagulls produced a disciplined display to secure all three points, with their victory moving them to third place in the table. Brighton have collected 19 points from their opening nine matches.

Only Manchester City, on 21 points, and Arsenal, who lead the standings with 24, are above them.

Carragher also said: “This is the best midfielder in the Premier League by a huge distance.”
