A fan favourite promo is returning to Ultimate Team in EA FC 27, and there some new special player items set to scare rivals into submission

It's that ghastly time of year again - and EA Sports FC 27 players are gearing up to celebrate Halloween with an Ultimate Team tradition that's back from the dead. The Ultimate Scream promo returns once again, having made a comeback in EA FC 26 following a six-year absence.

In the now distant past, the EA Sports FC and FIFA promo celebrated Halloween by offering players with a naturally spooky theme - the likes of giant Peter Crouch or the afro of Marouane Fellaini featured at one point. But this year the promo gets a special twist.

Player items included in the Ultimate Scream promo will get dynamic permanent upgrades during two full moons, as well as temporary boots to a random face statistic. Here's everything you need to know.

EA FC 27 Ultimate Scream release date and time

Ultimate Scram is set to arrive in FUT just in time for Halloween. Although the big day arrives next Saturday (October 31), EA Sports have decided to launch the campaign in the week before it.

FUT gamers will be able to get their hands on Ultimate Scream player items from 6pm tonight (Friday, October 23). Ultimate Scream Team 1 arrives in packs then, replacing the current promo.

EA FC 27 Ultimate Scream leaks, expected content and upgrades explained

Team 1 of the Ultimate Scream promo has some fascinating cards to pick up, including plenty of players that'll strike fear into the hearts of Ultimate Team opponents. Prominent leakers and insiders claim that some of the game's biggest names will be included.

The likes of leaker FUT Sheriff on X, formerly Twitter, claim that the first team will include three Ultimate Scream Heroes items. Those players are predicted to be:

• CDM: Jaap Stam - 88 OVR
• LW: Mario Mandzukic - 87 OVR

Alongside these three iconic players of the past, a further 15 present stars are expected to be included in Team 1. They are:

All of these player items are subject to special upgrades. EA Sports has confirmed that the upgrades come into force on Thursday, November 24 for one week to coincide with the Beaver Moon.

At that point, they will receive a temporary 99 face stat, and full chemistry in position. These boosts offer a handy extra for fans lucky enough to pick up Ultimate Scream player items.

While a second Ultimate Scream squad is set for release on Friday, October 30, there are also new Ultimate Scream player items coming to the Token Store. Players can exchange Gallery or Champions tokens earned in either mode to pick up players that are set to include Jill Scott, Juan Sebastian Veron, Enzo Le Fee and Said El Mala.
