Liverpool have two injury doubts ahead of their Premier League game against Arsenal, and four more remain out with long-term problems.
Dominik Szoboszlai and Victor Munoz’s availability is still in doubt for the Anfield encounter, with the availability of both determined by their recovery in recent days.
Here are Iraola’s injury updates ahead of Liverpool vs. Arsenal:
Szoboszlai has played just 32 minutes since the last international break, due to a hamstring injury first picked up while on duty with Hungary.
He is getting closer to a return, though, and “has a chance” of featuring against Arsenal, said Iraola.
On Friday, the manager explained of Szoboszlai and Munoz: “I think they have a chance, but I don’t know for sure if they will be involved or not.
“We still have two days, they still have a chance.”
Munoz has missed the last three matches with a knee problem, and while Iraola said he and Szoboszlai had a chance, it seems more likely that they will miss the Arsenal match.
Neither were pictured in training on Friday and it is improbable that, even if they trained on Saturday, they would come straight into team.
Jeremy Jacquet also appeared to be absent from the group’s session on Friday, but there was no suggestion of an injury and it is thought that the club were just managing the youngster’s workload.
We will have to wait another two weeks at least for Jacquet’s fellow young centre-half, Giovanni Leoni, to return to the squad.
The Italian, along with Jeremie Frimpong, are expected to rejoin training during the international break.
Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike also remain in recovery from their knee and Achilles injuries, respectively.
