Bukayo Saka wins Sócrates Award

Our number seven picked up the award after working with multiple charities, including long-term projects with Big Shoe, providing medical care and humanitarian aid for children and families in need in London and around the world.

Meanwhile, Mariona Caldentey and Alessia Russo were our two nominees for the Ballon d’Or Féminin after helping us win the FIFA Women's Champions Cup earlier this year.

Having finished second and third in 2025, our Spanish midfielder placed 13th, with Alessia finishing ninth. Alexis Putellas won the top honour for the third time in her career.

In the Men’s Ballon d’Or, Declan Rice, Gabriel and William Saliba were our three representatives after a stellar season.

Saliba placed 29th, Gabriel ranked 21st, with Rice the highest of our Gunners in 15th.

David Raya was nominated for the Yashin Trophy for best goalkeeper. The award was won by fellow Spaniard, Unai Simon.

We were nominated for  Men’s Club of the Year for the third time in our history after lifting the Premier League for the first time since 2004, as well as reaching the UEFA Champions League final. PSG were given the honour.

Mikel Arteta was nominated for Men’s Coach of the Year, which was won by Spain head coach Luis de la Fuente.
