Paris FC are considering a move for Nuremberg forward Mohamed Ali Zoma as they look to strengthen their attack during the next winter transfer window.
According to Fussball-News, the French club have taken a close interest in the 22-year-old, who has made an impressive start to the season in the German second division. His performances have caught the attention of Paris FC’s recruitment staff, although any potential deal would involve a significant financial commitment.
Zoma has scored seven goals in eight appearances for Nuremberg, establishing himself as one of the division’s most effective forwards in the early stages of the campaign. His finishing and consistency have also brought him wider attention in the European transfer market.
The forward, who is Italian and of Ivorian origin, is increasingly being viewed as a player with considerable potential. Paris FC are seeking to add greater depth and quality to their attacking options, and Zoma’s goalscoring record has made him an attractive possibility.
Fussball-News reports that Nuremberg value Zoma at about €30m. That asking price could make negotiations difficult, particularly because the striker is under contract with the German club until June 2029.
The length of that agreement gives Nuremberg a strong negotiating position. Unless the club is prepared to consider a lower fee, Paris FC would need to make a substantial offer to have a realistic chance of completing the transfer.
There is also the prospect of competition from elsewhere. Zoma’s performances have already drawn attention after only a handful of league matches, and other European clubs could enter the race for the forward during the winter window.
Paris FC must therefore assess both the financial demands of the deal and the likelihood of securing an agreement before deciding whether to make a formal approach. No outcome has been established, but Zoma is emerging as one of the names to watch as the transfer market approaches.
The proposed fee would represent a major investment in a player who is still at an early stage of his career, although his start to the season has strengthened his reputation as a forward on the rise.
Paris FC’s immediate focus will be their Ligue 1 fixture against Monaco, which will be their ninth matchday game of the French championship.
