After deciding late that he wanted a career in sports journalism, Daniel worked his way up the ladder in an unconventional manner.
Having opted against university, Daniel worked with Sky Sports as a freelance contributor and translator during transfer windows while also volunteering on several other blog pages and outlets to get a portfolio of content together.
Daniel then worked with Barnet FC as part of their social media team before starting his own website, which focused on football and MMA content.
That eventually led to work with 90min and Reach PLC with The Mirror, Daily Record, Daily Express, and Manchester Evening News.
Following that, Daniel spent two-and-a-half years with Breaking Media covering Everton, Rangers, Leeds, West Ham and other clubs before joining GiveMeSport as a Premier League editor.
As well as football, Daniel is a huge MMA fan and has appeared on YouTube and podcast content too.

Manchester United have had a season from hell so far, and it looks set to be the end of the road for Michael Carrick.
The Reds were dominated by Bournemouth at Old Trafford and beaten 3-0 in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, which has left the team sitting in 16th place in the Premier League with just seven points, while they are winless in eight and have just two wins in 12 all season.
As a result of those results, Carrick is believed to be on the brink of being sacked, just months after being handed a permanent contract as manager, and GIVEMESPORT sources understand that there are a number of candidates being considered as potential replacements.
The club's board have held crisis talks at Carrington on Monday, with a final decision on Carrick's future expected to be made imminently, and the former midfielder not expected to be in the dugout for the next game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
But after years of disappointment and a number of different managers in recent years, Carrick isn't the only one who should be leaving Man Utd soon, and there are at least five players who should be getting moved on quickly.
Ever since signing from Leicester City in a deal worth £80m, Maguire has faced major criticism for his place in the side.
In all fairness, sometimes that criticism went over the top. But it's also more than fair to say that the former England star has never been that calibre of player, and his form this season has been awful.
His lack of athleticism is becoming even more of an issue now that he is 33 years old, and it was odd that the club gave him a new contract last season. Now, with his current deal expiring at the end of the season, and a defensive rebuild reportedly being planned, there is zero reason for him to still be here once this season comes to an end.
If clubs show interest in January, it could be an ideal time to get some cash back and let him move on now, because any manager who comes in shouldn't be relying on him to be a starter.
Did it happen before or after?
Round 1 of 9
Luke Shaw is in his 13th season at Man Utd, and at no point has anyone been entirely sure about how good he can actually be.
Last season was the first time he managed to play in every Premier League game of the season, and this season he has struggled with his fitness once again. His contract is due to expire in the summer, and like Maguire, there is no reason for him to be kept around.
At least one new left-back is needed anyway, and United would be better off bringing in a starter and letting Shaw go, especially considering his wages and injury record. In an ideal world, he would have been moved on a few seasons ago.
It was very evident from the day Zirkzee signed that he was going to struggle in the Premier League with the pace and physicality of the league. Technically, he is excellent. He has a great touch, is a good dribbler, and links well with his teammates.
But he doesn't shoot nearly enough and doesn't provide enough of a threat to be a Man Utd striker. His record of 10 goals in 82 appearances for the club spells that out, and it was a surprise that he didn't leave in the summer.
Even with Benjamin Sesko sidelined with an injury, Zirkzee remains a backup option in the side, and United would be better off cutting their losses and letting him go in January, and finding a replacement who can actually help the team.
A £60m signing that was never needed, Mount has had a poor Man Utd career. Now into his fourth season at the club, the former England man has yet to register double figures for goals or assists, and has only just managed to hit that milestone when you combine them.
He's not a winger, he's not good enough to play as a number ten, and he's not a good central midfielder. Add that to the fact he has huge wages and can never stay fit for a prolonged period of time, United should have cut their losses a long time ago, and now must ensure that they do it once and for all in 2027.
A surprise inclusion on this list for sure, but Bruno Fernandes should be playing in his final season at Man Utd now.
The Portugal international has been remarkable ever since joining the club from Sporting, and has regularly been the club's talisman when it comes to goals and assists. But it's also fair to say that in recent times his performance levels have dropped, even despite him breaking the assist record in the Premier League last season.
This season he has been poor, and it's clear there is something going on behind the scenes after he was dropped by Carrick against Bournemouth, having publicly criticised the manager and coaching staff's tactical decisions.
United have now begun to show an overreliance on him, and with his contract expiring, it could be the perfect chance for a total reset.
Whether INEOS can be trusted to replace him adequately is a different matter, but a change could be ideal for all involved.
