According to a Caught Offside report, Manchester United consider RBLeipzig's David Raum "top priority" signing for next summer.

The Red Devils are looking to bring in a centre-back and a left-back in the winter transfer window, the English football website reports.

Raum is said to be at the top of the struggling Premier League club's shortlist, while his contract situation makes him a realistic option.

Besides Raum, United's bosses have identified Alejandro Balde from FC Barcelona and AFC Bournemouth's Adrien Truffert as alternatives.

However, the aforementioned left-sided full-backs would probably be significantly more expensive overall than the Bundesliga player.

In recent weeks, Raum has also been linked with Juventus and Barcelona –  two clubs are equally keen to save on a transfer fee.

According to Sky, RB Leipzig have planned talks about Raum's future in the coming weeks regarding the adjusting of his salary.

Should the two sides struggle to reach an agreement, this could be a sticking point that might benefit interested clubs.
