Manchester City take on RB Leipzig this evening looking to end a run of three straight defeats.

Enzo Maresca’s suffered double losses to Brighton and Hove Albion last week, dumped out of the Carabao Cup on penalties by the Seagulls in midweek, before the Sussex club repeated the feat in the Premier League last weekend, as Yasin Ayari notched the winner.

Now, City return to the Champions League seeking to get back to winning ways on the continent as well.

Last time out, they were beaten by the reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain in a rout at the Etihad Stadium, as the Ligue 1 side ran out 4-2 victors after a mauling in the first half.

They will be hoping for Erling Haaland to get on the scoresheet once more, with the Norwegian striking a blank against Brighton over the weekend, although Maresca has emphasised that his men cannot be reliant on the Norwegian international for all of their goals.

They take on a Leipizig team coming off the back off three consecutive victories against Elvesburg, Essen and Schalke.

Those followed a heavy 4-1 thrashing by Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabeu last time out in this competition.
