Arsenal are expected to announce a new contract for midfielder Declan Rice in the near future, according to Now Arsenal on social media.

The club and player are understood to be at the final stage of completing the agreement.

Rice has been an Arsenal player since joining the London club in summer 2023. He has established himself as a key figure in midfield, featuring in almost every Premier League and Champions League match.

The England midfielder’s current contract with Arsenal runs until summer 2028.

Arsenal drew 2-2 away to Bayern Munich in Munich last Wednesday. Rice scored towards the end of the second half to help the Gunners take a point back to London.
