MASVINGO – Yadah is back in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) after being crowned Eastern Region Soccer League champions with a game to spare.
Yadah beat Masvingo United 2-1 at the Heart Stadium to reach 79 points.
Second-placed Deportivo La Murambinda has 77 points after playing its last game of the season this afternoon. The club is on a bye on the weekend as it ought to have played against Tongogara.
Yadah is facing Green Fuel for its final Division One game on Saturday. The result is of no consequence to its promotion.
The development means that only Hunters will be playing PSL matches in the region next season. Yadah has its Heart Stadium in Harare.
Hunters use Rudhaka Stadium in Marondera and sometimes Rufaro Stadium in Harare.
Triangle and Manica Diamonds were relegated from the PSL and will be in D1 next season.
Meanwhile, Masvingo Army outfit Four Lions, Chivhu FC and Power FC make the bottom three.
Power FC (24 points) can only survive relegation should it win its last fixtures against Buffaloes and FC Wangu Mazodze (26) loses to Bikita Minerals.
