ZIFA doubles Warriors ticket prices to US$20 for Equatorial Guinea clash

THE Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has doubled ticket prices for the Warriors’ upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Equatorial Guinea, with fans now required to pay US$20 to watch the match.

The fixture is scheduled for November 17, with Zimbabwe hosting Equatorial Guinea as the Warriors continue their AFCON qualifying campaign.

The new price represents a US$10 increase from the previous US$10 charge for home matches.

ZIFA has also confirmed that attendance will be capped at 10,000 fans in line with Confederation of African Football (CAF) regulations, following sanctions imposed after a fan died in a stampede at the venue during the Warriors’ match against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) earlier this month.

The Warriors will be hoping for strong home support as they seek maximum points against Equatorial Guinea to strengthen their position in the qualifying campaign.
