Real Madrid remain interested in signing Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori, despite the Premier League club’s determination to keep the Italy international at Emirates Stadium.
Calafiori has become an important part of Mikel Arteta’s side, operating as the first-choice left-back while also providing cover in central defence when required.
Real Madrid were linked with a move for the defender before he joined Arsenal from Bologna in 2024, and their interest has continued since then.
According to Caught Offside, the Spanish club has contacted sources close to Calafiori to establish whether he would be interested in a move. Arsenal, however, remain firm in their desire to retain the player.
Calafiori’s current value is estimated at around €65M, but his contract runs until 2029. Arsenal could therefore seek a fee closer to €100M before considering a sale.
