Morocco seek revenge against North Korea in U17 Women’s World Cup last 16 – kick-off time and TV details

Morocco meet North Korea in the last 16 of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup on Wednesday, with a place in the quarter-finals at stake.

The match will be played at the Complexe Mohammed VI de football in Sale, Morocco, and will kick off at 16:00 French time (15:00 in Morocco).

Viewers can watch the game for free via streaming on FIFA+ through DAZN. It will also be shown on free-to-air television in Morocco on Arryadia, as well as on beIN Sports Mena.

Morocco have reached the knockout stage for the second successive time, but they must overcome the team that ended their campaign at this stage last year if they are to reach the quarter-finals for the first time.

Youness Rabie’s side began this year’s tournament with an emphatic 4-0 victory over New Zealand. They then suffered defeats by Germany, losing 4-2, and Argentina, who beat them 5-1.

Those results left Morocco waiting for the outcome of the final group-stage matches. Their progress was eventually confirmed after Venezuela lost on the last day of the group phase, allowing the Lioncelles de l’Atlas to qualify among the best third-placed teams.

They now face a formidable opponent in North Korea, who are the two-time defending champions and favourites to retain the title.

The North Koreans inflicted a heavy defeat on Morocco at the same stage of the previous edition, winning 6-1. Morocco will therefore need to produce a markedly different result if they are to make history on home soil.

North Korea, however, have not looked quite as dominant as they did in the previous tournament, when they won every match on their way to the title.

They opened this competition with a 6-0 victory over Puerto Rico and followed it with a 6-1 win against Poland. Their perfect start ended in the group stage when Nigeria defeated them 3-1.

That result offers Morocco some encouragement, although the Asian side remain a major test for Rabie and his players. The winners will advance to the quarter-finals, while defeat would bring Morocco’s campaign to an end.
