Chris Godwin failed to catch his only target in the Bucs’ Week 8 win over the Falcons.

That might not look like much, especially with Emeka Egbuka on the shelf, but it was actually a 45 percent target share in a game where the Bucs attempted just 11 passes in a 43-13 victory. Godwin also had a score called back by a Bucky Irving illegal shift. Promising in theory, we suppose, though Godwin has not cracked 40 yards receiving since Week 2. He has not reached 50 all year. It feels like he will have to get more involved at some point, but then again, this team has a lot of young receiving talent. Godwin’s WR4 prospects are hanging on by a thread heading into Week 8 against the Falcons.
